The Empties Area Ep. 01 | Skin Care


Hello friends!

It's been a while since my last post, and I'm back (hopefully better than ever!) to give you guys more recommendations because honestly, when you guys take my recommendations into considerations and even better, TRUST my judgment, it makes me really happy!


For the first episode (of the empties series), I shared exclusively my skincare products. Over my hiatus, I've used so many skin care products. I changed a lot of products on my regime, I switched things, etc. As a result, my empties bag was overflown with bottles of products (whew~). 5 Top Websites to Buy Beauty Products!


As a beauty enthusiast, I find it VERY difficult to suppress the urge to buy new make up. I mean, IMO, it is a very fast paced industry. A lot of new products from different brand came out in a blink of an eye.

Not to mention a lot of products have different innovation and uniqueness. Or sometimes, the packaging are just too cute to be missed!

 Sebagai pecinta produk-produk kecantikan, aku tuh susah banget buat nahan diri untuk nggak beli makeup baru. Karena menurutku, dunia kecantikan itu bener-bener cepat banget perputarannya. 

 Dikit-dikit keluar barang baru, ada brand baru, ada barang yang hits, yang aneh banget dan bikin orang penasaran coba, atau sebenernya packagingnya lucu banget aja sampe-sampe nggak mungkin nggak beli!
Sadly, although it is start to grow, Indonesia make up market is not as big as other countries. Let's not talk about U.S.A, even our closes neighborhood country like Singapore has bigger market than us.

As an example, when I lived in Singapore I'd walk and go to all Sephora branch just to find a best-selling item. Whereas in Indonesia... I don't know, the offline stores just does not excite me as much.

 Sayangnya, di Indonesia sendiri tempat belanja untuk produk-produk kecantikan ini bisa dibilang relatif kecil. Ngga usah deh, jauh-jauh ngomongin Amerika, bahkan di negara tetangga kaya di Singapura aja marketnya lebih 'seru'. 

 Dulu, waktu aku masih tinggal di Singapura, aku bisa loh rela-relain dari satu Sephora ke Sephora yang lain kalo emang lagi nyari barang. Sedangkan di Indonesia... gak tau ya, kaya kurang hype aja gitu untuk offline store gitu?
However, to keep myself updated with the beauty world, I tend to do online shopping instead. I must admit, it is very easy to purchase a product now. Yes, of course it has its own minus point like you couldn't really test the product before you bought it.

But, with the power of Youtube and Blogs, there are tons of review on the web to rely on (my channel, perhaps? tee hee) so I'm one of those people who are not scared to shop online.

Lain cerita kalau online shop ya. Kayanya serumah aku tau kalau aku sering banget belanja online. Antara nggak tahan gak belanja atau emang pengen terus update sama dunia kecantikan (yang jelas aku sih sangat passionate ya di bidang ini! :D). Tentu aja, ada minusnya juga kaya nggak bisa dicoba dulu, jadi kalau beli foundation suka takut salah beli warna, atau warna lipstick yang kok nggak cocok di kulit, dll. 

 Tapi dengan kekuatan Youtube dan Blog, udah banyak banget review tentang produk-produk yang bisa dipercaya (contohnya channel Youtube aku a.k.a. shameless promotion lol) makanya aku bisa dibilang sangat berani buat belanja online.
One of the thing to be noted before purchasing online is the credibility of the seller, of course. You don't want to get scammed and lost your money, just because they are selling super cheap stuffs or rare items, or even get cheated by fake items.

Not only they cheated your money, but fake items especially beauty items like make up could be fatal for your health! Imagine buying a imitation products, ever wonder how many evil chemicals inside those?

Yang harus diinget nih kalau mau belanja online, tentunya online shopnya ini terpercaya atau nggak. Nggak mau kan, dibohongin terus duitnya ilang aja gitu. Emangnya nyari duit gampang. Jangan karena barangnya super murah atau ngejual barang yang susah didapet jadi main asal beli. Amit-amit kalau sampai beli barang palsu. 

 Nggak cuma sellernya ngecurangin uang kamu, tapi menurut aku pribadi, barang palsu is a big no karena kamu nggak tau betapa banyaknya zat-zat jahat di barang itu loh. Bahkan, kandungannya bisa berbahaya buat kulit kamu, karena kamu kan nggak tau itu produksinya dari mana, kaya gimana.
I'd rather spending my money on the right websites that I trusted than buying items on cheap stuffs that are not authentic or lost my money to a scammer!

Aku sendiri lebih suka buang-buang duit (hahaha) ke website yang aku tau bisa aku percaya daripada beli barang yang harganya jatoh murah tapi belum tentu asli atau uangku bisa hilang entah kemana!

This is my ULTIMATE go to website. Not only it sells the latest beauty items, but they have wide varieties too. You can even find Korean makeup here! I've been shopping on their website since the longest time and overall I am pleased with their service.

I never had a problem buying from the website as it is very user friendly, and their shipping is super fast! (They are Jakarta based shop and I lived in Jakarta area too. Usually normal online store would take 3-4 days for shipping whereas this shop only needs up to 2 days!).

Not the mention their packaging are super safe, as they'll wrap your items with bubble wraps (thick layers of it!). If bubble wraps are not enough for you, you can also opt for wooden package.

Ini website yang sering banget aku datengin! Nggak cuma barang-barangnya up to date, tapi lengkap juga loh! Bahkan bisa nemuin beberapa produk kecantikan Korea disini! Aku sesering itu belanja di website ini dan aku selalu puas sama servicenya mereka. 

 Nggak pernah ada masalah, websitenya gampang untuk dipakai, dan ngirim barangnya super cepat! (Website ini domisili Jakarta, biasanya untuk kerumahku butuh sekitar 3-4 hari, tapi Beautyhaulindo selalu berhasil kirim hanya dalam waktu 2 hari aja). 

 Ditambah, mereka kirim paketnya bener-bener rapi, loh! Barangnya dibungkus bubble wrap yang tebal jadi kemungkinan pecah minim banget. Kalau masih kurang yakin, bisa pilih untuk pakai pengiriman pakai kayu juga, tentunya ditambah ya biayanya.

Terus untuk setiap produk yang ada pilihan warnanya, pasti pilihannya banyak. Untuk masalah harga, menurutku harga dia yang terbaik! 

 Oh ya, mereka juga ada loyalty point loh, kaya stempel bubble tea gitu hahaha, jadi kalau udah ngumpulin IDR 50.000, bisa ditukar kupon buat dibelanjain barang loh.


2. TWLCosmetics (http://twlcosmetics.com)



IF, let's say, an item I'm searching for is not available in Beautyhaulindo, or the shade I'm looking for is sold out, I'd go to TWLCosmetics.

Price-wise, I still think Beautyhaulindo is the winner. But that doesn't mean TWLCosmetics is not good! The quality of the packaging, the shipping time, as well as the variety of the products are around the same, is just that TWLCosmetics prices are slightly higher.

 KALAU, barang yang aku cari nggak ada di Beautyhaulindo, aku pasti ke website ini. 

 Harganya sih, TWLCosmetics agak sedikit lebih mahal. Tapi untuk kualitas, tentunya nggak kalah. Servicenya kurang lebih sama, kok!
But if you are looking for sample size items, they have their own sample-size section!

It's a great option if you want to try an item but don't want to commit to the full sized ones!

Tapi kalau kalian cari barang sample, TWLCosmetics juga jual loh! Nggak cuma sample sachet gitu, cuma mini size kaya misalnya bagian dari holiday collection yang kecil-kecil gitu mereka juga jual. 

 Jadi oke banget nih kalau kalian pengen coba barang tapi belum pingin keluarin uang untuk bayar ukuran yang penuh!
They also sell defect items, as in product with minor problems like cracked packaging. It is definitely cheaper, but of course it is not a perfect product. If you don't mind with those minor injuries, this section definitely works for you.

For me, personally, I'd like to buy my items in perfect conditions, so I never buy anything from this section. Having that said, they definitely included a picture of the defect(s)!

 Mereka juga jual barang yang cacat, kaya misalnya packagingnya pecah gitu. Harganya lebih murah, jelas, tapi ya namanya juga barang cacat. Kalau kalian nggak masalah sama produk cacat, bagian ini boleh di cek loh. 

 Aku sendiri sih, suka kalau barang nyampe di aku dalam keadaan bagus, terus aku yang pakainya sampai bentuknya menyedihkan. Tentunya untuk produk-produk di bagian ini ada gambar letak cacatnya dimana kok!


Sometimes, they open an offline booth at certain bazaars too!

 Kadang-kadang mereka juga buka booth di bazaar-bazaar dalam mall juga loh!



3. Stylekorean (http://stylekorean.com)



It might be a shocker but after I think about it, I rarely purchase Korean beauty products online! Most of the time I asked my friend who visited Korea for holiday or even Singapore because it is cheaper that way.

But at the moment my skin care items are from K-Beauty lines. So whenever I ran out, I have to buy another one and this website is my favorite!

 Mungkin ini akan mengagetkan beberapa orang tapi setelah dipikir-pikir aku jarang banget loh beli produk kecantikan Korea online! Seringkali aku titip temenku yang ke Korea atau ke Singapura karena lebih murah kaya gitu. 

 Cuma kan sekarang skincare aku K-Beauty semua, kalau sudah habis mau nggak mau harus beli, dong? Nah, website ini favorit aku kalau mau beli barang-barang kecantikan dari Korea!

Mind you they are NOT Indonesian website, for my Indonesian readers. They do ship to Indonesia, only I have to admit it is quite pricey.

However, they do offer free shipping if you reach $80 on your cart. So if you intend to shop from here, make sure you tag your friend along so you could save the shipping cost!

 Btw, ini BUKAN website Indonesia ya, terutama untuk pembaca dari Indonesia. Mereka bisa kirim ke Indonesia, cuma ya emang harga pengirimannya lebih mahal. 

 Mereka ada penawaran free shipping kalau kita belanja sampai $80, jadi kalau mau beli barang dari sini, lebih baik ajak temen-temen jadi bisa hemat di biaya pengiriman!

The thing that I like the most about this it has the widest variation of brands. Furthermore, I can almost find whatever I searched on this website.

From COSRX, Heimish, Missha, or any other korean beauty brands that are a slightly harder to find in local online stores.

 Yang aku suka dari website ini sih, lengkap banget nget nget! Brandnya lengkap, barang di setiap brandnya lengkap, seneng deh kalau browsing disini soalnya pilihannya banyak banget! 

 Mulai dari COSRX, Heimish, Missha, atau brand lain yang agak lebih susah ditemuin di online shop lokal.


Plus, they always have great sale offers!

 Plus, mereka sering banget loh ada diskon!



4. Althea (http://id.althea.kr)




Now let's say I want K-Beauty products and I don't want to pay for expensive shipping price, Althea is always my go-to website.

 Kalau mau beli barang-barang K-Beauty cuma aku lagi gak ada duit buat bayar shippingnya T_T, aku biasanya belanja di Althea, karena shippingnya lebih murah.


Especially when I want to purchase those super weird products like Monster Mask or the Hell Pore Mask! Althea has this section called 'Trendy Items' where they sell unique products like these.

 Terutama kalau aku pengen belanja barang-barang yang aneh seperti Monster Mask atau Hell Pore Mask! Althea punya bagian 'Trendy Items' dimana mereka jual produk-produk unik.
They always ship in a box so your product will arrive safely to your house! Oh, did I mention that both Stylekorean and Althea will always give you samples upon your purchases? So fun, right?

Mereka kirimnya pakai box warna pink cantik gitu... jadi barangnya nyampe pasti selamat deh! Oh, aku udah bilang belum kalau belanja di Stylekorean dan Althea pasti dapet sample? Seru kan?


However, the problem with Althea website is that their website tend to be un-openable (is that even a word? lol). In my case, my browser will automatically block this website (internetpositif, anyone?).

To tackle this problem, simply download their app (it is free!) and you're good to go. Their app is user friendly and it is very easy to find a product that you want to see and/purchase!

 Masalahnya, Althea ini websitenya suka keblokir. Kalau dari browser aku, suka masuk ke internetpositif. 

 Jadi, aku akalin dengan download app-nya (gratis kok!). Appnya juga gampang dioperasikan, jadi nggak akan bingung kok!


5. Kawai Gankyu (https://www.kawaigankyu.com)



I think contact lenses can be considered as 'beauty items', in a sense. I used contact lenses with prescription, but I am never against if people want to buy some fun colors like violet or pink because if you can play around with your makeup, why don't you go all out.

 Contact lens bisa dikategorikan sebagai produk kecantikan juga loh! Aku pakai contact lens yang ada minusnya, sih, tapi aku nggak pernah merasa kalau orang yang mau pakai contact lens warna untuk gaya doang itu salah. 

 Kalau kalian boleh berekspresi dengan bebas dengan makeup, nggak ada salahnya untuk total ke penampilan kalian, sampai ke warna matanya.


HOWEVER, an important note (yes, I used capslock so you guys actually read this) is that PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ALWAYS BE CAREFUL WHEN BUYING CONTACT LENSES ONLINE. Make sure the website is trusted and there is no issue AT ALL with the seller.

DON'T, I MEAN IT, BUY CONTACT LENSES FROM SHADY SELLERS. You only got two eyeballs, please treat them with extra special care.

TAPI, penting untuk dicatat (iya, aku pakai capslock biar dibaca) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE UNTUK SELALU HATI-HATI KALAU BELI CONTACT LENS ONLINE. Pastikan websitenya terpercaya, ada testimoninya, nggak pernah ada masalah apapun, dll. 

 JANGAN PERNAH BELI CONTACT LENS DARI PENJUAL YANG NGGAK TAU DARIMANA SEMBARANG GITU. Mata kamu tuh cuma dua, dijaga baik-baik!

FIRST IMPRESSION: Silicon Beauty Blender?!

OMG.

I guess that is the appropriate word (is it even considered as word? Lol!) to begin this post.

 Kayanya itu kata-kata yang pas buat mengawali post ini, hahaha!

I saw this product on Instagram and my jaw literally dropped.

Aku lihat barang ini di Instagram waktu lagi lihat-lihat explore dan jujur aku SHOCK banget lihatnya!

I know by now you all, especially if you're into beauty related stuffs, are familiar with Beauty Blender, whether it is the authentic one or the dupes (e.g. from Real Techniques, Masami Shouko, etc.). It is one of the most phenomenal, life changing product that I even use and own. It literally gave you one of the best, airbrush finish. It is quick, and easy, even people with minimal experience with makeup could use beauty blender and still have a flawless base makeup.

Aku tau kalian, apalagi yang suka banget di dunia beauty, pasti udah familiar sama Beauty Blender, mau yang asli atau yang dupes-nya (kaya Real Techniques, Masami Shouko, etc.). Menurut aku sendiri, produk ini tuh benar-benar merubah cara aku mengaplikasiin makeup. Aku sendiri suka banget karena hasil dari pemakaian Beauty Blender ini bagus dan airbrush, natural banget. Pakainya cepat, gampang, dan kalau aku bilang bahkan untuk orang-orang yang baru belajar makeup pasti bisa pakai Beauty Blender dan hasilnya pasti bagus.

Now as there are many variations on dupe, I am most interested with this form.

Walaupun sekarang udah ada banyak variasi dari dupes Beauty Blender, aku paling tertarik dan penasaran sama yang satu ini.

It is made from silicon. Yes, you heard me right. Not from sponge, from silicon.

Ini terbuat dari silikon. Iya, nggak salah kok. Bukan dari sponge, tapi dari silikon.

So the brand that made this is Molly Cosmetics. This brand is based in Hong Kong. Personally I haven't heard much from this brand as they are not as popular as other indie brands like Lime Crime. But when I saw the website they actually have quite a range of product, from lip product to glitters. But their most popular product is definitely the Silicon Beauty Blender, or they call them Silisponge.

 Jadi brand yang bikin ini namanya Molly Cosmetics. Brand ini berasal dari Hong Kong. Aku sendiri sih, belum pernah mendengar banyak dari brand ini karena menurutku kalah hype dibanding brand indie lain kaya Lime Crime. Tapi waktu aku lihat website mereka, ternyata mereka produknya lumayan banyak loh! Dari lipstick ke glitter ada. Cuma yang paling populer ya jelas si Beauty Blender Silikon ini, atau mereka namain produk ini Silisponge.

They actually already having their 7th restock and/or pre-order by the time I write this post. So those Silisponge are really on the demand!

Mereka sendiri ternyata udah restock 7 kali loh waktu aku tulis post ini! Jadi yang pasti Silisponge ini lagi dicari-cari banget!

So this Silisponge will cost you $9.00 (IDR 131.823,62). It is actually not that expensive, but at the same time not that cheap as well. But what's better is that it comes in FREE INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. Yes, I'm not joking. They cater free international shipping, but with this method you're not able to track your order(s). Unless you do want to be safe, you can top up to trackable shipping with just additional $5 (for Indonesian customers). It will take around 2 weeks (excluding weekends) to arrived. I ordered mine on 30th November and it arrived at 8th December.

 Silisponge ini harganya $9.00 (IDR 131.823,62). Sebenernya nggak mahal-mahal banget sih, tapi juga nggak super murah juga. Cuma yang bikin aku cepet-cepet beli karena mereka ngasih GRATIS ONGKIR INTERNATIONALLY. Iya, aku nggak bercanda. Sayangnya, kalau kalian pilih yang ongkir gratis ini kalian nggak bisa cek kiriman kalian udah sampe dimana. Kalian tapi bisa kok, pilih yang bayar kalau kalian nggak mau ambil resiko dan bisa track kiriman kalian. Nambahnya sekitar $5 ke Indonesia. Nyampenya kira-kira 2 minggu (nggak termasuk hari libur). Aku pesan punyaku tanggal 30 November dan nyame tanggal 8 Desember. (Langsung bikin post).

I kinda appreciate the shipping packaging. Bubble enveloped, but better with GOLD.

Aku suka banget sih sama packaging kiriman mereka. Amplop yang ada bubble pack-nya, tapi lebih bagus karena warnanya GOLD.


They come in resealable plastic. Very handy especially if you want to travel with this!

Dibungkusnya pakai plastik yang bisa ditutup lagi. Ini praktis banget apalagi kalau kalian mau bawa ini kemana-mana!

FIRST IMPRESSION: Battle of Liquid Lipstick! (Indonesia local brands)



I bet most of you guys are aware on how popular liquid lipstick these days. No doubt, if you are into beauty, you will definitely have one, and you have your own favorite brand(s)!

Aku bisa jamin kalau kalian tau betapa populernya liquid lipstick. Kalau kalian suka sama hal-hal yang berbau kecantikan, kalian pasti punya satu, dan punya merk favorit kalian!

With all of the hype, Indonesia beauty brands are jumping in to the wagon and start to compete to produce their own liquid lipsticks. I, as a beauty enthusiast, definitely welcome the trend!

Karena lagi nge-trend, produk kecantikan Indonesia sendiri udah mulai mengikuti arusnya dan mulai bikin liquid lipstick mereka sendiri. Aku, sebagai orang yang genit banget dan doyan hal-hal ginian, jelas sangat menyambut trend ini!

So I search back and forth, waiting for the packages to come, go to the store, waiting for the lipsticks to restock, and finally I made my own first impression on local liquid lipstick that I personally choose!

Jadi aku mulai tuh, nyari-nyari brand-brand lokal apa aja yang ada, nungguin paketnya dateng, nyari di toko offlinenya, bahkan sampai nungguin lipsticknya buat restock dulu. Nah, akhirnya aku bisa bikin first impression aku untuk lipstick-lipstick lokal yang aku pilih sendiri!

August legit is the fastest month! Suddenly it is September and I made a video of my May favorites but not my June neither July favorites so I had quite a handful of stuffs that made it to my favorites list this month!

Agustus benar-benar bulan yang cepeeet banget! Tiba-tiba udah September aja, dan itu artinya untuk monthly favorites aku! FIRST IMPRESSION: Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-In-1 Foundation

It's been a loooong time since I posted anything on my blog, isn't it?

Udah lama banget nggak sih aku posting di blog ini?

I've been pretty busy with my graduation and post-graduation and moving from Singapore back to Jakarta so I haven't really got time to do any blog post since I am still settling down with everything.

Aku lagi sibuk banget karena aku lulus tahun ini dan aku lagi pindahan juga balik ke Jakarta, jadinya aku jujur belum ada waktu untuk posting lagi.

Back to the good part, I am going to share with you guys about my review on the current most popular drugstore foundation (I assume, lol!), Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation!

Balik lagi ke post ini sendiri, hari ini aku mau review tentang foundation yang menurut aku lagi hits banget, Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation!



So basically this product contains 30ml of foundation. The packaging itself is slim in shape, so it is very convenient to add in your makeup collection since it won't take that much space. Although it is true that it doesn't have pretty design on the bottle so it won't prettify your vanity. To add on, since it is glass bottle, it might not be the best option for travelling purposes. It comes in a pump which is always a plus!

Produk ini isinya 30ml, jadi sebenernya ukuran standard. Botolnya sendiri nggak gendut, jadi nggak makan banyak tempat, walaupun desain botolnya juga nggak cantik-cantik banget jadi kalau ditaruh di vanity ya biasa aja gitu. Oh ya, botolnya sendiri terbuat dari kaca jadi kalau mau dibawa pergi-pergi harus hati-hati biar nggak pecah! Foundation ini ada pump-nya yang jelas favorit aku!

I am using the color 05 warm beige because I have yellow undertone and actually it fits my color quite well! (For reference, I am using Moonshot 301 and I always go for number 23 on korean cushion foundation, which is always slightly lighter)

Aku pilih warna 05 warm beige. Aku belinya online jadi sebenernya lumayan takut kalau warnanya bakal nggak cocok sama kulit aku! Tapi untungnya karena kulit aku yellow undertone, foundation ini warnanya bener-bener pas sama kulit aku! (Untuk referensi, aku pakai Moonshot 301 dan aku selalu pakai warna nomor 23 untuk cushion korea, dan biasanya cushion koreanya sedikit lebih putih dari kulit aku)

First Impression: Kylie Lipkit | Worth the Hype?



I didn't know whether you've been living in a rock or what but if you are into makeup and beauty, you will definitely know Kylie Lipkit. This liquid lipstick is created by the oh-so-famous Kylie Jenner. What is so special about it? Every time it restocks the liquid lipsticks, it would sold out COMPLETELY in just 15 minutes.

Kalau kalian ngaku kalian suka sama make up, kalian pasti tau dong soal Kylie Lipkit. Liquid lipstick ini dibuat oleh salah satu member Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kylie Jenner. Sumpah ya, saking terkenalnya lipkit ini, setiap kali mereka restock, pasti akan habis dalam waktu 15 menit aja!

I was so so curious about it and I've heard good things about it (although some people suggest to just buy other brand of liquid lipstick dupes). Fight for it, waited for it to arrive and finally get my hands on it! I bought mine in Dolce K, which is one of their most popular color!

Penasaran dong, aku nyobain berkali-kali buat dapetin si lipkit ini. Sering banget kehabisan, tapi setelah beberapa kali nyoba, akhirnya aku berhasil dapetin productnya dan akhirnya seminggu yang lalu paketnya nyampe kerumah! Aku beli yang Dolce K, salah satu warna yang paling banyak orang beli.






You paid for the 'normal' price of liquid lipstick (USD $29). But of course you gotta count for the shipping. So for me personally if you wanted to buy this liquid lipstick, I recommend to buy it with your friends to save shipping cost. In all honesty, I don't feel that it is THAT expensive, as you get a lip liner as well as a liquid lipstick.

Harganya sebenernya lumayan normal buat liquid lipstick (USD $29). Apalagi kalau kita hitung sama shipping costnya. Ditambah ini lip KIT loh, jadi untuk harga segitu kita dapetin lipliner sama liquid lipsticknya. Tapi ya aku sih kalau boleh ngasih saran, mendingan joinan bareng temen kalau mau beli, soalnya lumayan kan bisa hemat di shipping costnya.



First of all, it swatches BEAUTIFULLY. The lipliner is so creamy and glides very easily. The pigmentation is superb and it doesn't smudge! For the main event which is the liquid lipstick, it is a full on matte liquid lipstick. It smells so nice like vanilla beans, and it is not as liquidy as the lime crime liquid lipstick so you'll have more control on the application. However, my lip has been super dry and when I test it out it clings on my fine lines. It does not bother me that much, since overall it is a super good product. It does not flake and felt super comfortable to wear!

 Yuk mulai reviewnya! Pertama-tama, waktu aku swatch di tangan warnanya BAGUS BANGET!! Aku kan nyobain pertama-tama si lip linernya, dan itu creamy banget dan smooth banget waktu di aplikasiin. Pigmentasinya juara dan sama sekali nggak smudge. Untuk liquid lipsticknya sendiri, ini definisi matte liquid lipstick sih. Kalau kita ngomongin mulai dari pros-nya dulu, wanginya jujur enak banget kaya wangi vanilla. Terus aku sih suka banget karena dia nggak secair lime crime jadi lebih gampang buat di aplikasiin. Teksturnya lebih ke mousse gitu. Karena ini sangat matte, dan waktu aku nyoba bibirku sebenernya lagi kering banget, jadinya rada ngebikin garis-garis halus di bibir keliatan gitu, Tapi kalau sebelumnya kalian pakai lipbalm, harusnya nggak kenapa-napa. Aku sih suka banget karena ini bener-bener bagus warnanya. Yang paling penting, walaupun bibirku lagi kering banget ini sangat nyaman buat dipakai dan sama sekali nggak flaking!

6 Beauty Tips When Travelling To Singapore!


If this is your first time going to Singapore, there are some things that I find very useful when you are in the Lion City. Hopefully this video is helpful for you guys out there! Xx

Haul: Typo & Cotton On Outlet Store

If you are not familiar with both of these brands, basically Cotton On is an Australian brand, mainly focusing on fashion items. Under Cotton On Group, they have different brands like Cotton On, Cotton On Kids, Cotton On Body, Rubi, factorie, T-Bar, Typo, and supre. If Cotton On is mainly selling clothes, Typo is selling mostly stationary and small living goods like desk organizer or home decorations.

As you can see, in Singapore we have lots of their outlets. But today, I shopped at their outlet store, whereby they sell their items in cheaper price. Mostly because the they are last season items or the items that have few faulty.



So here are few items that I got from their outlets

This little guy is a pen holder I believe. But if you don't want to put anything behind her back, she will make a lovely room decoration!

Food Review: Fluff Bakery

Without any explanation needed, cupcake is generally a good food. I don't know which part of the world did you came from but I personally LOVE cupcakes (or cakes, or just sweets in general). There's a lot of cupcake store in Asia, not to mention Singapore. But let me introduce you one of my favorite store here, Fluff Bakery.




I first knew them because I followed NylonSG's instagram, and they tagged Fluff Bakery in one of their pictures. Well, as a cupcake lover I couldn't say no and I opened their profile. I was genuinely in shock when they repeatedly post pictures that state their cupcake were sold out. As the result, I was so curious to taste one.

I visited them on the next day, and unfortunately I missed the chance to taste the cupcakes because it was, no surprise, sold out. But it was a new thing for me to experience a cupcake store that runs out of cupcakes. I mean seriously, among all of those cupcake stores, how come they could sell out their cupcakes. Moreover, they opened their store around 12 p.m. and at that period of time they will completely sell their cupcakes at around 2-3 p.m.

I decided to dedicate one of my day to taste their cupcakes and it was one of the best cupcakes I've ever tasted. I never regret the moment I tried their cupcakes in my life!

I'll give you a review on my recent visit to their store! So right now they are expanding the amount of cupcake they sell, which mean there are more cupcakes available for more cupcake monsters and that makes me a happy camper!

The place is located near Bugis MRT. You need to walk quite a bit and I suggest that if you want to buy their cupcakes, it is better for you to spare a bit of time because you might need to queue (although now it is not as bad as before) and it would be much better if you could leave your cupcakes in air-con room or best inside a fridge. They are using buttercream frosting, and because Singapore weather is very warm and humid, it would melt the frosting if you keep them outdoor.

What makes Fluff Bakery more special is that they provides different flavors every week (aside from their top-notch Nutella Red Velvet and Salted Caramel). So you can try more flavors (in which all very yummy). Sometimes they also sell cake and cookies, which is also very delicious.

The staffs there are very friendly and I could feel the warm vibes that they gave. One down point is their store is pretty small and when you queue, you have to queue outside. But overall, the store decorations are very nice and lovely, and more importantly, the cupcakes are very good!







Okay, moving on to the cupcakes. Their cupcakes are special because the texture is extra fluffy (that is where the name came from, I guess) and I have no idea on how could they achieve such texture. The cake tastes flavorful, but not artificial. All of their cupcakes matches well with their frosting. Once you had your first bite, you will surprised with the extraordinary fillings inside individual cupcakes in which give you... mouth-orgasm? Oh, and did I mentioned that they sell halal cupcakes?





Each cupcakes are S$ 4.00. They currently didn't accept payment by credit card and only by cash and NETS. Also, they don't take reservations and orders at the moment (but cross your fingers so they could do it soon!)

Beauty Review: DAISO Japan Detergen for Puff and Sponge

As a woman, although I didn't wear it often because of my demanding school assignment (whereby I sleep the latest and woke up earliest at home), I still use makeup. So it is pretty much understandable for people who uses makeup, either on daily basis or not, to clean their makeup products. Keeping them from dust, throwing away expired products (although sometimes you don't feel like throwing them away, but this is VERY important), and one of the essential is to clean the makeup brushes.

It is important for us, who uses makeup to clean them because makeup touches our face. Not only dirty brushes or product will damage our skin, but it will also go into our blood stream (I wouldn't start to give you any biology lecture. If you are interested in this topic, google will provides you with more information).

I do clean my brushes occasionally. Previously I always use baby shampoo to clean my brushes because it is a gentle-type of soap. But that is before I found this ridiculously good cleanser from DAISO Japan.



Although it says for puff and sponges, I also use it for my brushes.

And those incredible power of cleansing comes in 80ml for only S$ 2. I believe it is safe to use because DAISO Japan is a big company and I don't think they want people to sue them because they sell products that are not safe to use. Moreover, it is made in Japan!

Food Review: Yoğart



Who doesn't love yogurt? I personally LOVE yogurt and recently it is a new hyped-thing in Singapore. There's a lot of frozen yogurt shop like one of my favorite, llao llao. The nearest store from my school is at Plaza Singapura or Bugis+, which is quite far actually.

Anyway, not too long ago a new yogurt shop opened, just in front of my campus. Which is great because if I feel like eating yogurt, I don't have the hassle of walking too far away.



The new yogurt place is called Yoğart. They sell the typical frozen yogurt; 3 different sizes with different amount of toppings, as well as the one that is similar to llao llao's Sanum. In Yoğart, they call it Bliss.



I decided to go with Bliss for my first try on this yogurt place. First impression: they have decent amount of yogurt, as well as the toppings that they gave. Unfortunately in my opinion, they don't have that much variety of toppings and sauces. When I try the yogurt, it is more sour than llao llao, but it still suits my liking because I do like sour yogurt. Thumbs up!

After that I went for my class then I still feel like eating yogurt (yep, that's how crazy I am with sweet foods). So I decided to buy one of they good-looking popsicle.



I literally fell in love with their popsicle. Not only they are looking good, but also taste super nice. I tried the 1/2 & 1/2, which is yogurt with Nutella. You can never go wrong with Nutella.


Overall, for the price and everything, I think they are a very good yogurt shop and if you are nearby, you should grab your portions of yogurt too!

Restaurant Review: Tanuki Raw

Last weekend I decided to eat something a bit fancier. So I went to this restaurant located in Somerset, Tanuki Raw.


When I first entered the restaurant, the ambiance was pretty nice. It was cozy and it wasn't too crowded because I went there at 2 p.m., which is not the normal lunch hour. The staff greeted me, and she asked whether we want to eat inside the restaurant or outside. Since the weather was pretty warm, I decided to eat inside instead.


So for lunch, I decided to go with sushi and donburi.

The sushi came first and how delighted I am to see this delicate dish.


This dish is called Chicken of The Sea ($10). Basically it is a sushi roll with crispy salmon skin, topped with aburi salmon with yuzu sauce and chicken floss. It is truly lip-smacking!

Not too long after that, my donburi came.


Today I decided to go with Salmon Don (lunch hour price $12). It suitable for me which is a salmon lovers. It is a hearty Japanese rice bowl with fresh sliced salmon sashimi, lightly seared aburi salmon and with additional of plump ikura served with their homemade spicy mayo and yakiniku sauce. 

It was delicious and as a salmon fan I am more than satisfied to have this to fill my belly. The portion is just nice for me, it is not too small but not too big until I have food coma.

Overall I am very satisfied and I will recommend this restaurant to every one of you that wanted to eat Japanese dish. It is not suitable for me to eat here everyday since I am an uni student and I have my own budget too... but honestly speaking the food that they served is really worth the price as the ingredient that they use is very fresh and it would taste different with those cheaper Japanese restaurant.

Time is running out!

As a person who is pursuing her dream in creative industry, it is important for us to be on time. Even if I were not in this field, in my perspective, it is important to be punctual. To be honest I think my punctuality is my strength. Especially when you start to working, people with appreciate you more if you are on time. It will pleases your client, your boss, your company, and yourself. I mean, honestly, isn't the feeling to be on time for meeting people and handing in your work feels good? At least for me, it does. That is why I am very irritated if someone is not on time. Time is money, and when I waste it, there is no turning back.

So it is important for me to have a watch. A proper watch, you see. Watch is always my go-to accessories. They're not just only adding something to my outfit, but it also functional. That is why wherever I go, I will always have my watch on.

Although my love for watch is that big, apparently my budget is not as much to buy new watches every time. I'm always use my Marc Jacobs watch (in which is a gift on my birthday, two years ago). However, as I'm working in creative field, it is normal for me to get exposed with art materials—obviously—like paint for example. I wouldn't take a chance to spoil my current watch, therefore I always take it off when I'm doing my work whenever the end result will be messy, which is not very convenient.

So I'm looking for a new watch, that is on my budget, but not like those cheap and fake watch that will not last long. I'm a type of person that will use my stuffs for a long time. So even though the stuffs that I want is expensive, as long as it's worth the money, I would buy it.

I've been eyeing for Swatch watches for a long time. Since I was in elementary school, I've been always a fan for Swatch watches. They have a long history behind them and they are the genuine watchmaker. Unlike Marc Jacobs, Fossils, and Daniel Wellington which is so-called consider as fashion watch, Swatch is a real watchmaker and their watches have different quality, better, in that sense. Moreover, even though Swatch is a real watchmaker, their designs are not boring and old-fashioned, which is good for youngsters like me!
