My Experience At Garuda Travel Fair 2016

It's been awhile since I wrote a blog post regarding my experience. For today post, hopefully it will be very useful for you guys!

So if you are not familiar with Garuda Travel Fair, it is basically an event where you guys can buy flight tickets that are way way cheaper in price!

You know when you browse for tickets and suddenly the prices doesn't make any sense? Basically the airline is keeping/saving the ticket for those kind of fairs!

So back to the event itself. I was suppose to go from my house at 8, but I overslept (yay insomnia!) so I only able to leave my house at 9.

My friends who were already there are kind enough to buy me entry ticket. Now when I reached there, it was super crazy loaded with people. First of all, the event was sponsored by BNI. If I'm not mistaken (most probably not), BNI card owners are able to get free entry to the event, while non-owner need to pay IDR 30.000. Unfortunately, this 'free-entry' created chaos, whereby everyone queued on the BNI line and it was just too many people, that my friends decided to use the normal lane instead.

I didn't queue for the entry ticket, but it took me awhile to wait for my friend, who already entered the venue to come out because it was just too crowded. When my friend finally came out, my other friends who were actually already talking to the tour-ticketing booth called me. She told me that she queued for quite some time, since I was looking for international flight and so did she, she offers me whether I wanted to get my tickets from that travel tour as well.

When she said so, I texted my family because it is a family trip about the dates and all. I rushed to go to the main venue. The GTF16 venue was at JCC by the way, and the main location was at one of the halls.

So basically every where you go, it is just SUPER CROWDED. Like if you're lost, you will find a very hard time to find your companion. So after I reached the tour booth, I thanked my friend and asked about my flight tickets.

Unfortunately, my friends didn't get her flight ticket. She needed a fixed flight, but there are no more available flight when she reached, although we reached quite early. So when I took over her seat (ok I admit it was quite bad for me because I skipped the queue, but technically we're on the same group so), I asked regarding my flight. There are direct flights and flights with one stop, so I kept messaging my family. It was quite chaotic, tbh. Because I only have one plan in mind so I need to keep asking my family regarding the changes.

After my tickets were book, I go to the cashier. Now usually each travel booth will have their own cashier. But imagine there are so many people buying tickets and they actually only have 2 cashiers... Imagine how long do I have to wait to pay my tickets. Furthermore, we have time limit to pay our tickets and if we missed it, the tickets would be available for other people to book which is, quite frankly, very annoying.

Buttttt with all those hardships, I finally snatched my tickets! Hopefully nothing goes wrong and if everything goes well, next summer I'll go to Sydney, Australia!

As you guys know, Australia's seasons are different from the rest of the world, but that's the thing that I look forward to because I want to experience winter! Having that said, living in a very tropical country, my closet is full of all-year-long-summer-clothing (not, because I actually love turtlenecks and outerwear). So I've been browsing a lot of online store to get my hands on coats, sweaters, jumpers, basically winter clothes!

Now if you like me, and you love online shopping, surely you wouldn't miss harbolnas (Hari Belanja Online Nasional) or Singles Day, especially in Zalora website! If you want to get more products in lesser price, do visit their sites here!

I'd definitely check their sites because their outerwear selections are just too cute and if I could save some bucks, why wouldn't I?

Now back to the Travel Fair, if you are interested to go to the next travel fair, here's my tips:

1. If it is possible, there are travel agencies that provided pre-booking for travel fair so you could book your tickets beforehand! I'm not sure which companies that provided such service, but you can definitely google them!

2. Go with a friend! It would be super stressful there and by friends I mean not like a group of 8 people, small enough to be your companion.

3. I wouldn't recommend you guys to buy tickets that are close to the date of the fair. I could guarantee that they won't have any slot left for you.

4. If it's not possible for you guys to actually go to the venue, you can go to the travel offices and they will have the same promo-priced tickets. Just that they won't have any extra benefits like extra promo from sponsors, cashback, or whatsoever.

5. Bring some snacks and definitely water. It is basically a warfield there and you don't want to collapse during your fight.

6. Plan properly! Have more than plan a, because if let say your departure tickets are ok but not your arrival tickets, would you like to move the arrival date further or forward? Those things will make the transaction smoother and definitely make you less stress. If its not possible, if you are travelling with your friends but you're the one who's buying the ticket, make sure they're contactable during the time you're going to purchase the tickets.

aaaaand that it is guys for today's post! Hope it is helpful! Xx

FIRST IMPRESSION: Inking My Brow?!

Now... My getting-my-brows-on-point has been a journey. I've been trying quite amount of products. To be honest, I've been so in love with my Etude House Eyebrow Pencil. I think it's the most convenient product ever. It is super easy to use and it is super affordable!

Nah... Perjalananku untuk mendapatkan alis yang hits itu benar-benar sebuah... perjuangan kayaknya. Aku udah coba banyak banget produk semenjak aku mulai memakai makeup. Jujur aja, aku suka banget pakai Etude House Eyebrow Pencil. Menurutku, produk tersebut gampang banget buat dipakai dan hasilnya bagus banget, ditambah produknya sendiri sangat terjangkau.

But as more products start to emerge in the market (name it: brow pomades, brow powders, etc), it has been getting into my attention. So once I saw this somewhat unique product I was like YES PLEASE SIGN ME UP!

Tapi kan sekarang banyak banget produk keluar di pasaran (contohnya kaya pomade, powder, dll), aku mulai tertarik untuk coba produk-produk baru. Nah, begitu aku lihat produk ini, aku bener-bener tertarik banget buat nyobainnya!

So here is my full review on the products!

Trying out circle lens!

I use colored contact lenses from time to time. I personally liked it, since it gives you a different feeling and you could get ANY eye color in a flash without surgery.

Aku suka, bahkan sering banget pakai contact lens berwarna. Padahal, sebenernya minusnya nggak gede-gede banget sih. Cuma aku suka banget, soalnya bisa ngasih efek yang berbeda gitu untuk penampilan secara keseluruhan. Dan yang bikin aku makin suka, kita bisa bikin mata kita ke berbagai warna tanpa harus operasi!

But I am a bit averse to major color changes. I would go for more natural design, rather than those ultra-animated design. This time round, tho, I am trying a super bright colored lens from @eclairelens!

At first I thought there won't be any differences since the color of the lens in the bottle is so faded, but turned out I was wrong! It gives me the brightest color EVER hahaha. At first I thought I looked super weird and scary at the same time, but then I decided to use it throughout my day.

Awalnya aku kira gak akan ada perubahan yang drastis, secara di botolnya sendiri warnanya tuh redup banget. Ternyata pas aku coba taunya bener-bener bikin warna mataku terang banget! Jujur aja, aku sebenernya ngeliat diriku sendiri aneh banget plus serem banget karena gak biasa. Tapi akhirnya aku cobain aja pake ini seharian.

Comparing it to Acuvue daily lens, it is less comfortable and sometimes it could feel a little bit dry. It is not something that is not comfortable tho, just a little blinks would help, but the Acuvue lenses are king in terms of comfort.

To see the full review, go check my video down below! Oh, and I upload video once every week so make sure you subscribe to my channel!

Btw, aku bikin full review tentang circle lens ini di video YouTube aku yang terbaru, yuk di check, jangan lupa subscribe yah ke channel aku!

Overall, I think this is a great contact lenses. I mean, you could use it for up to 6 months, so it is great if you want to look fresh and different at some point. It is not expensive as well. The down side of it is that if you are using contact lens from day to night, it would feel less comfortable comparing to the dailies, but nothing so major.

Would I repurchase it? It is comfortable and the design is natural although the color is not. But I won't buy another new pair for now, since I could use this one for 6 months and I am willing to buy other designs and colors.

Bakal aku beli lagi nggak?

FIRST IMPRESSION: COLOURPOP ULTRA MATTE LIP

I've uploaded this video 2 weeks back but I haven't got a chance to share it with you fellow readers!

I've been enjoying my holiday last December, that is why I haven't upload any blog post or video. But starting from this upcoming Sunday, I'll start to upload new videos again every Sunday! Make sure to subscribe! :)

Birthday Wishlist 2015

It's been quite awhile since I spent an hour or so to actually type and make a content on my blog (as you can see from my previous posts, it is all YouTube videos in which I enjoy as well!).

So I figure it would be nice to just check in with you guys and hopefully you do enjoy reading my blog!

December has always been my favorite month. It is the point where school holiday started, where everyone gathers together, the atmosphere every where you go is just so so festive that you can almost smell ginger bread cookies in each and every corner! I am a nocturnal person and seeing all those Christmas lights on the streets just make me happy!

There might be a slight bias-ness as well, because December is my birthday month and I guess there is no further explanation needed on why December is my absolute favorite month of the year.

Today post I just want to share with you guys on what is on my birthday list. it is already past my birthday so I guess it is not a sin to post my wish! Tee-Hee

(This list is in no particular order)

1. iKon KONY'S ISLAND / Winner KIDS OF W season greeting

HA! My love for K-Pop is endless, and I am personally leaning towards YG boy groups. Anything related to them, whether it is their album, light sticks, posters, will make my day. But in particular, I've been eyeing for their season greetings album because anyway, it is something that you could only get in this season!

2. CLARISONIC SPECIAL EDITION KEITH HARING MIA 2 - POP

Recently I had trouble with my skin. Usually after my acne, it will leave this acne mark that is extremely hard to be taken care of. Not to mention that my skin is not as smooth as before. According to the reviews that I read, most of people inside the beauty industry would recommend Clarisonic to give another extra mile on their skin care routine. So I would be delighted to receive this on my birthday!

3. TOO FACED CHOCOLATE BAR / LORAC PRO PALETTE

I am into make up, especially my love towards make up has grown significantly on 2015. I've been trying out different looks, especially eye-makeup. So I really want to expand my collection and owning one of these babies!

4. MUJI DRAWER

Again, still related to my fondness on make up. But this time round to tackle a bit on my love on organizations. I personally feel that I am a organized person and I like to see my stuffs are well organized. I don't enjoy cleaning in all honesty, but the end results always satisfy me thus I do cleaning! If you could keep your makeups (especially those with ultra cute packaging) in this transparent acrylic drawers, it will give you a bit of peace in mind, don't you think?

5. JBL PULSE 2 SPEAKER

I always loooooove music. I can't play any instrument and I am just a professional bathroom singer but that doesn't stop me for loving music. Although in actual fact listening to my playlist on my laptop/iPhone speaker is sufficient, it would feel totally different when I listen to them on a proper speaker!

6. KITCHENAID STANDING MIXER

I could not say that I'm a great cook, but I love to try out new things and those short videos on Youtube and Facebook on recipes always triggers me on wanting to try out new recipes. Hey, I'm 21 years old now, don't you think that I should excel on my cooking skill? Furthermore, look on how pretty these mixer colors are!

7. ADIDAS SUPERSTAR/ULTRABOOST SNEAKER

I'm into sneakers lately... and I've come to the dark side on finally loving Adidas shoes!!

8. A PET DOG

What could bring more joy than having a loyal companion?

9. JO MALONE NECTARINE BLOSSOM AND HONEY

Have you ever smell this particular scent from Jo Malone stores? They smell INCREDIBLE and if I could describe what Heaven would smell like, it would be this scent (and baby's scent).

SO that is it for my birthday wish list! Is your birthday coming soon? If it does, do you have any particular things that you want to receive? Do share yours on comment below! :)

November Favorites 2015!

Oh my, time does fly! Before the blink of your eyes, it is already the end of November and it is almost the end of the year!

In which, I get to share with you guys things that I've been loving this month! I hope you guys enjoy it! Xx

REMOVING MY BLACKHEAD?

I found this video online and I'm totally into it and had the urge of trying it out myself!

#QOTD

“…I'm no one to judge and neither are you”

Talk That Talk.

Today I want to do something different. It's not about review, beauty, haul, or those stuffs that I used to post on this blog. I basically just want to talk to you guys. I used to do this a lot when I managed my old blog, like I didn't try to make this blog artificial, it was just me... being myself.

Holiday is just around the corner and although I am still going back and forth to campus occasionally (yep, that's my faculty right there. All of other faculty except my graduating senior is out for holiday except us), I got lesser things to do. In which good and I've been enjoying it so far. I've been way to productive for the last 4 month and all I need right now is hibernating.

The past few days–or even weeks–I've been spending my time catching up with my shows (all of them are Korean shows, fyi) and I've been watching a whole lot of youtube videos and nowadays I've been seeing a lot of coming out videos. If you are not familiar with it, coming out videos are basically when people confess to the world, usually about their sexuality.

Please be advise that this post is entirely my own opinion. After I watched those videos, it reminds me on how important it is to love yourself and just... be who you are. People struggling a lot especially when it comes to loving themselves. They tend to love other people more, maybe not literally, but they care more about what people think about them and trying to get the best image they could possibly get from people.

Well of course, human craves for recognition and of course you want people to know you as the best person on the field, be it one of the best friends, best joker, best kisser, probably, or you name it yourself. However, for me, the most important thing is just be true to yourself and you are the best person for several people that loves you for who you are and why crave for more attention? At the end of the day, only the best people for you that stick around with you and you deserve it. It is way better to have few amount of people that surround you with love rather than having large amount of crowd that pretend to care about you but they talk about you behind your back.

Do more on what makes you happy. One of the easiest thing is to be with the right people that give you positive vibes. Well, although it is the easiest way but actually it is quite hard to cut of some of relationship but honestly speaking, why would you keep an unhealthy relationship that brings you to sadness, anger, and hatred? It only waste your time, energy, and sometimes tears. I'm telling you, you don't deserve to be with people that only brings negativity in your life. Sometime, you might have to it in a harsh way, but everything that is worth it is never easy.

I know this is just another typical post that you could see in many other blog or article, but there might be some people that need encouragement and by a chance they stumble upon my blog and if you are one of those people, let me tell you on how precious you are. You are precious and you deserve the best, and don't let people tell you the otherwise and don't let people step on you :)

DIY: Nail polish marbling!

I just finished one of my small candles and suddenly I just thought of up-cycling the glass container because I feel it is such a waste to just throw them away.

So I present to you a very easy DIY to upcycle your candle container!

WHAT YOU NEED:

1. Freezed candle container(s) (yes, it is important to freeze them overnight!)
2. Heat-proof container
3. Nail polishes of your choice
4. Knife
5. Nail polish remover
6. Cotton pads
7. Spray paint (I recommend white in color)

HOW TO:

1. First of all you need to clean your candle container. It is way easier to remove the remaining wax if you freeze it beforehand. Using your knife, remove the wax from the container

2. Next, remove the labels from your container. My tips would be: try to remove it on a running water as much as you can with knife. Try your best, and there would be some sticky residue left. Remove it using nail polish remover

Squeaky clean!

3. Dry your candle container. Then spray paint it. I use white color so there would be contrasting color between the base and the marbling

4. When it's dry, pour warm to hot water into a container. After that, put few drops of nail polish of your choice. It would marble by themselves, but if necessary, you can carefully marble them with toothpick

5. After that, dip your candle container into the water and carefully turn it with a rotating motion. It will automatically stick to the container. If you're not happy with your work, you can always remove it with nail polish remover and try again.

Failed piece!

Second try...

6. For me personally, I like a bit of texture from the nail polish therefore I like to put some sort of 'goop' on my marbling. But if you don't, you can just use one drop of nail polish instead. Leave it to dry overnight.

7. And you're done! Super easy and it will surely decorate your room just nicely! :)

Bedtime Story:

"Hero" starts with "He"
"He" is the "Head" & the "Heart"
"He" can "Heal" and "He" can be "Health"
"He" can be quite "Hedonic" and change your life with a "Hello"
"He" can "Help"
"He" is the where "Height" is heading
"He" starts "Heat"
"He" walks around mastering the universe under his "Heels"
"He" can end in "Heaven"

But with all the available options

"He" chooses to end with "Hell"
"He" chooses his ears to what you want him to "Hear"
"He" "Hesitates"
"He" is never "Here"
& it bothers me so much that
"HE" is still the biggest part of "HER"

But "Her" life when "He" leaves "Her" is left with an "R"

How to finally letting go of the pain from breakups.

“Getting over a painful experience is much like crossing monkey bars. You have to let go at some point in order to move forward.” ~C. S. Lewis

It's been awhile since your past relationship. It might be a day, a month, a year, or even more than that. And yet you're still troubled by the pain the past left. The whole thing is dragging too long, but why can't you just get over it? Why does every time you think about the past, you feel ruined again?

Perhaps something remains unsaid for you, even now. Perhaps that’s why your feelings remain so strong.

Perhaps part of you holds out hope you could get back together again. Perhaps you need to admit that and let go of it.

Maybe your thoughts telling you the fear of not meeting anyone else like your ex. You won't, but eventually you will meet someone. Just that they will be different.

Loving someone doesn't mean you should be with them. It also doesn't mean that they are good for you. It's a reality that you need to face. Keep in mind that you can have a happy life, even with a great sorrow in your heart.

Physically, your body is just fine but your mind is playing trick with you. It keeps telling you to think that "things should have been different" and those thoughts will conflicts with what actually happened, so it open up your wounds again. That causes the turmoil. Give in.

Admit: "This is how it should have been, and this is exactly how it it."

Facing the truth is difficult, and life may feel more painful. But at the end of the day, you would feel more peace because the conflict with it is reduced.

It's about making the decision. There was a woman who was still heartbroken eighteen months after breaking up with her boyfriend. The woman was explaining to her friend, in detail, how she felt—a curdle of sadness, anger, hurt—and how she was convinced she would never be able to move on.

Her friend stopped her, saying, “And now tell me, how you will feel when you are over him?”

The woman described how free she would feel, how relieved that it was behind her, how keen she would be to get on with life, how confident and unafraid she would be if she happened to meet her ex.

Her friend suggested, “So why don’t you just feel that now?”

The woman’s life transformed instantly.

For her, it was about making a decision to move on. If it has been a while since your relationship ended, perhaps this choice is also available to you. Play with the idea.

It has been long enough now. People may tell you it’s time you got over your relationship. Like with bereavement, you don’t ever have to “get over” it, but you may need to more forcibly move yourself on, and if you’re stuck, to take a new approach to doing so.

Hurtful experiences, ones that emotionally and logistically reset our lives, leave us with two choices: open up more or close down.

The braver choice—the one that will allow new things to enter your life—is to open up.

Give yourself a new and different opportunity to leave it behind.

If you've been holding onto an old relationship, now is the perfect time to let go. Here’s how you can start moving on:

1. Practice releasing regrets.

After the breakups, it's tempting to dwell on what you did wrong and what you could have done differently. This might seem productive, like you can somehow change things by rehashing it.

You can't.

It will cause you to suffer. You will start to revisiting the past in your head. Starts to pull yourself into the present. Focus on the good things in your current situation: the friends who are there for you and the lessons you've learned that will help you with future relationships.

2. Work on forgiving yourself.

You might think you made the biggest mistake of your life, and if only you didn't do it you wouldn't be in pain right now. Don’t go down that road—there’s nothing good down there!

Instead, keep reminding yourself that you are human. You’re entitled to make mistakes; everyone does. And you will learn from them and use those lessons to improve your life.
Also, keep in mind: if you want to feel love again in the future, the first step is to prepare yourself to give and receive it. You can only do that if you feel love toward yourself; and that means forgiving yourself.

3. Don’t think about any time as lost.

If you've been clinging to the past for a while and now feel you've missed out, shift the focus to everything you've gained. Maybe you've built great friendships or made great progress in your career.
When you focus on the positive, it’s easier to move on because you’ll feel empowered and not victimized (by your ex, by yourself, or by time.) Whatever happened in the past, it prepared you for now—and now is full of opportunities for growth, peace, and happiness.

4. Remember the bad as well as the good.

Brain scientists suggest nearly 20 percent of us suffer from “complicated grief”—a persistent sense of longing for someone we lost with romanticized memories of the relationship. Scientists also suggest this is a biological occurrence, that the longing can have an addictive quality to it, actually rooted in our brain chemistry.

As a result, we tend to remember everything with reverie, as if it was all sunshine and roses. If your ex broke up with you, it may be even more tempting to imagine she or he was perfect and you weren’t.  In all reality, you both have strengths and weaknesses and you both made mistakes.
Remember them now. It’s easier to let go of a human than a hero.

5. Reconnect with who you are outside a relationship.

You lived a fulfilling single life before you got into the past relationship. You were strong, satisfied, and happy, at least on the whole.

Remember that person now. Reconnect with any people or interests that may have received less attention while you were attached.

The strong, happy, passionate person you were attracted your ex. That person will get you through this loss and attract someone equally amazing in the future when the time is right. Not a sad, depressed, guilt-ridden person clutching to what once was. If you can’t remember who you are, get to know yourself now. What do you love about life?

6. Create separation.

Hope can be a terrible thing if it keeps you stuck in the past. It’s not easy to end all contact when you feel attached to someone. Breaking off the relationship might feel like ruining your chances at knowing love again. You can start by stop messaging your ex, stop stalking them on social medias, stop revisiting the album of picture you created together. Stop counting how many failed anniversaries you've been through.

You will know love again. You won’t spend the rest of your life alone. In one way or another, you will meet all kinds of people and create all kinds of possibilities for relationships—if you forgive yourself, let go, and open yourself up, that is.

7. Let yourself feel.

Losing a relationship can feel like a mini-death, complete with a grieving process.

First, you’re shocked and in denial. You don’t believe it’s over and you hold out hope.
Next, you feel hurt and guilty. You should have done things differently. If you did you wouldn't be in this pain.
Then, you feel angry and maybe even start bargaining. It would be different if you gave it a second go. You wouldn’t be so insecure, defensive, or demanding.
Then you might feel depressed and lonely as it hits you how much you've lost.

Eventually, you start accepting what happened and shift your focus from the past to the future.

8. Remember the benefits of moving on.

When you let go, you give yourself peace.
Everything about holding on is torturous. You regret, you feel ashamed and guilty, you rehash, you obsess—it’s all an exercise in suffering. The only way to feel peace is to quiet the thoughts that threaten it.

Letting go opens you up to new possibilities.

When you’re holding onto something, you’re less open to giving and receiving anything else.

Imagine if you had your arms wrapped around a huge bucket of water, you wouldn't be able to give anything other than that bucket, or grab anything else that came your way. You might even struggle breathing because you’re clutching something so all-encompassing with so much effort.

You have to give to receive. Give love to get love, share joy to feel joy. It’s only possible if you’re open and receptive.

9. Recognize and replace fearful thoughts.

When you’re holding onto a relationship, it’s usually more about attachment than love. Love wants for the other person’s happiness. Fear wants to hold onto whatever appears to make you happy so you don’t have to feel the alternative.

Replace those thoughts with: All pain passes eventually. It will be easier if I help them pass by being mindful. I can’t always control what happens to me, but I can control how I respond to it.

10. Embrace impermanence.

Nothing in life lasts forever. Every experience and relationship eventually runs its course.

The best way to embrace impermanence is to translate it into action. Treat each day as a life unto itself. Appreciate the people in front of you as if it were their last day on earth. Find little things to gain in every moment instead of dwelling on what you lost.

When I feel like clinging to experiences and people, I remind myself the unknown can be a curse or an adventure. It’s up to me whether or not I’m strong and positive enough to see it as the latter.

“The amount of happiness that you have depends on the amount of freedom you have in your heart.” ~Thich Nhat Hanh

Taken from the book Steal Like An Artist (10 Things Nobody Told You About Being Creative) by Austin Kleon.

Rules To Live.

1. Forgive yourself.
No matter what the situation is, holding in feelings of guilt will get you nowhere. You can't change the past, so why constantly focus on it?

2. Be nice to everything with a pulse.
Being mean will get you nowhere. Not only will being mean hurt those around you, it will also impact your happiness. Who knows, you may just save someones life!

3. Grow from every situation you're in.
Good or bad, learn to grow from every situation life throws at you. Instead of thriving on feelings of anger and sadness, turn even the most negative situation into uplifting rebirths. Use a tough day or even to come alive again and focus on being a better person.

4. Learn to be happy alone.
You don't need another person to validate your self worth, meaning, or existence. You are just as important single as you are in a relationship. Learn to have fun and appreciate yourself.

5. Know when its time to work, but also make sure to have fun.
Make sure to focus on your studies and work hard, but also make sure to have fun in the process.

6. Let go the feelings of anxiety.
Stressing out, worrying, and constantly thinking negatively will improve nothing. Stressing out and worrying won't change the outcome of anything and will only dampen your mood.

7. Realize its OKAY to fail.
No one is perfect. We will mess up from time to time. Learn and grow from your mistakes. You're only human!

8. Let go of people who constantly put you down.
Surround yourself with people who love, cherish, and support you. Life is too short to be surrounded by mean people. Let go of people who only supply negative energy into your life.
